EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) -Michigan State wide receiver Keshawn Martin is expected back for this weekend’s game against Purdue after being out with a knee injury.
Coach Mark Dantonio is eager to have his big-play threat back in the lineup. Martin has accounted for touchdowns five different ways in his career – rushing, receiving, passing and on punt and kickoff returns. He’s one of three active players in major college football who have accomplished that feat.
Martin was hurt against Northwestern on Oct. 23 and missed games against Iowa and Minnesota.
Although the 11th-ranked Spartans will have him back this weekend, Dantonio says freshman defensive end William Gholston is out for the season following shoulder surgery.
