SEATTLE (AP) -The status of Washington quarterback Jake Locker remains in question for Thursday night’s game against UCLA, although indications are he will play.
Washington coach Steve Sarkisian said after practice Tuesday that doctors still have not cleared Locker and his broken rib to play against the Bruins in the final home game of Locker’s career.
Sarkisian seemed coy about the situation. He originally said Monday that a decision would be made Tuesday morning.
But Sarkisian avoided giving a final answer following practice Tuesday, saying the doctors wanted yet another look. Locker did practice on Tuesday. If Locker can’t play, redshirt freshman Keith Price would make his second straight start.
“I don’t know yet. I don’t know what I’m going to do. We’ll see what happens,” Sarkisian said.
