ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -Northwestern quarterback Mike Kafka was sidelined against Michigan with a concussion.
Kafka ran for 6 yards early in the second quarter on his last play Saturday. He was replaced by C.J. Bacher, who started the game.
Kafka started the previous two games and had 300 yards rushing, setting a record for a Northwestern quarterback in consecutive games. He ran three times for 20 yards against the Wolverines and did not attempt a pass.
Bacher had started 25 straight games before leaving last month’s game at Indiana with an injured right hamstring.
