NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -Instead of moving closer to full strength, No. 16 Oklahoma is dealing with the loss of another defensive tackle as it heads into a crucial two-game stretch on the road to close the season.
The Sooners (8-2, 4-2 Big 12) lost Adrian Taylor for the season when he tore his right Achilles’ tendon during a 45-7 win against Texas Tech on Saturday. Coach Bob Stoops says Casey Walker will return to practice this week in hopes of returning Saturday night at Baylor.
Pryce Macon moved inside from defensive end to provide additional depth despite his lack of size, and Taylor’s injury means he’ll need to stay there instead of bumping back to the edge if Walker returns.
