BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -Les Miles says it’s important that the fifth-ranked Tigers remember how they’re viewed by other Louisiana teams.
Miles says other state schools measure themselves against LSU and he expects Louisiana-Monroe’s best when the Warhawks visit Tiger Stadium on Saturday night.
LSU is 8-1 and also is ranked fifth in the BCS standings, but a loss to a more-than four-touchdown underdog could ruin the Tigers’ chances of getting a bid to a BCS bowl. ULM is 4-5 and struggling to become bowl eligible.
The Tigers also remain alive in the SEC’s Western Division race. However, an Auburn win over Georgia would eliminate LSU in the SEC race and likely knock the Tigers out of contention for a national title.
