ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez says his players know a bowl game is still a possibility.
Michigan has lost five of six games and is just 5-5 this season after a 4-0 start. College football’s winningest program lost a school-record nine games last year in Rodriguez’s debut season – and failed to earn a bowl bid for the first time in three-plus decades.
The Wolverines will have to pull an upset to play in the postseason. They close the regular season Saturday at No. 21 Wisconsin and at home against No. 10 Ohio State.
The Wolverines blew a two-touchdown lead Saturday against Purdue, which won in Ann Arbor for the first time since 1966.
