TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -Florida State’s Christian Ponder is still troubled with an elbow injury on his throwing arm.
Ponder missed his weekly media session Monday to visit with doctors about soreness and swelling in the elbow that he originally hurt in a 24-19 win over Boston College last month.
Ponder suffered a ruptured bursa sac near his elbow, creating a large amount of swelling and discomfort. He was able to play 10 days later at North Carolina State after having daily treatments and fluid drained from the injured area.
Ponder irritated the injury in Saturday’s 37-35 loss to North Carolina but still passed for 264 yards and three touchdowns.
Coach Jimbo Fisher says he wouldn’t know the extent of Ponder’s injury until later Monday.
