COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) – Three years ago, Blaine Gabbert switched commitments. That’s not nearly long enough for Nebraska fans to forget.
Missouri’s star quarterback can anticipate getting an earful on Saturday when the unbeaten and seventh-ranked Tigers meet the 14th-ranked Cornhuskers in Lincoln, Neb., in a matchup of Big 12 North powers.
Missouri (7-0, 3-0 Big 12) ended a 25-year drought in their last trip to Nebraska (6-1, 2-1) back in 2008. Gabbert will be making his first start at Nebraska, the school he spurned for Missouri.
The 6-5, 230-pound junior from Ballwin, Mo., isn’t expecting forgiveness.
