CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -The weekend could not have gone any worse for the Miami Hurricanes.
Saturday’s 40-37 overtime loss to Clemson sent Miami freefalling in the Atlantic Coast Conference race, dealt them a hit in the AP Top 25 poll and ended whatever slim hopes the Hurricanes had of sneaking into the national championship picture.
Miami led Saturday’s game seven times, letting the Tigers come back after every one.
Quarterback Jacory Harris says, “nowhere else to go but up” now for the Hurricanes, who visit Wake Forest next weekend.
