SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -Notre Dame and Boston College have an odd relationship.
Notre Dame has the history and national championships. The Eagles have a 1993 victory that cost the Fighting Irish another national championship.
BC also has beaten the Irish six straight times, evening the all-time series between the Catholic schools at nine wins.
Eagles defensive end Alex Albright says it seems some Notre Dame fans think of Boston College as their little brother school. He thinks the Irish football players respect BC, but doesn’t think the fans do.
Irish linebacker Brian Smith says the schools have a lot of similarities and that’s what makes the game special.
