COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – For No. 13 Ohio State to stretch its winning streaks to five in a row this season and 19 straight in Big Ten games, the Buckeyes must find a way to hurry Penn State quarterback Christian Hackenberg.
They certainly did that a year ago, sacking him four times and intercepting him twice in a stunningly one-sided 63-14 victory over the then-freshman. It was a seismic defeat for Penn State – the most points surrendered and the worst beating in the program’s 114 years.
Now the teams meet again on Saturday night before a sellout crowd at Beaver Stadium. This time the Lions (4-2, 1-2 Big Ten) will try to buy Hackenberg time while the Buckeyes (5-1, 2-0) will again throw everything they can at him.
