TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) – No. 15 Arizona will be playing with its backup quarterback. Washington’s quarterback is finally starting to look like the Heisman Trophy contender everyone predicted.
On Saturday, Matt Scott and Huskies senior Jake Locker will lead their teams in a crucial game in the Pac-10 race.
Arizona (5-1) and Washington (3-3) are both 2-1 in the Pac-10, still just a game back of top-ranked Oregon. Lose this week and any chance of catching the Ducks is likely gone.
The Wildcats will try to do it with Scott instead of Nick Foles, who sprained his knee last week against Washington State.
Locker, after a slow start, is coming off his best game of the season, a five-TD performance in a double-overtime win over Oregon State.
