VALHALLA, N.Y. (AP) – An investigator says a college football player killed by police got medical assistance from officers within three to five minutes after the shooting was first reported.
Lawyers for some witnesses have alleged that Danroy Henry, of Easton, Mass., was neglected for up to 15 minutes after he was shot outside a bar early Sunday in Thornwood, N.Y.
On Friday, Mount Pleasant Police Chief Louis Alagno (uh-LAHG’-noh) held a press conference and listed response times and other details that countered that claim.
Alagno also says investigators are looking for a woman who was giving Henry chest compressions before officers took over.
Police have said Henry, a Pace University student, sped away and hit two officers after a policeman knocked on his car window.
