STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) – No. 14 Nebraska dropped the ball on its chances to stay undefeated. No one knows that feeling more than Niles Paul.
But the receiver responsible for two of his team’s four dropped passes that could’ve gone for touchdowns in a 20-13 loss last weekend against Texas says Nebraska is ready to bounce back.
Paul says the Cornhuskers (5-1, 1-1 Big 12) can still win the rest of their games this season, starting Saturday at No. 17 Oklahoma State (6-0, 2-0).
Cowboys coach Mike Gundy isn’t counting the Huskers out. He points out that Nebraska was widely considered a national championship contender just over a week ago and is still “a really good football team.”
Oklahoma State has won three of four in the series after a 36-game winless stretch against Nebraska.
