SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) – Notre Dame’s second-leading receiver, Theo Riddick, will not be able to play Saturday against Navy.
The school disclosed the news Tuesday. Riddick has a severe ankle sprain and is in a cast.
He has 38 catches for more than 400 yards for the Irish (4-3), who will play Navy (4-2) at the Meadowlands in New Jersey.
The Irish also said receiver Michael Floyd is not practicing as he recovers from a hamstring injury. He will be a game-time decision.
Notre Dame has already lost star tight end Kyle Rudolph to season-ending surgery on a torn hamstring.
