STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy believes All-America receiver Dez Bryant has learned his lesson for lying to the NCAA about an offseason meeting with former NFL player Deion Sanders.
But he isn’t any closer to knowing whether Bryant will be able to play for the 14th-ranked Cowboys (5-1, 2-0 Big 12) again this season.
Gundy said Monday that “there’s no question that he’s learned his lesson and that should help him down the road, later in life.”
Without Bryant, the Cowboys have still started Big 12 play with back-to-back wins for only the fourth time in the conference’s 14 years in existence. They’ll try to move to 3-0 Saturday at Baylor (3-3, 0-2).
