FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) -A.J. Milwee passed for 210 yards and two touchdowns to help lead North Alabama to a 28-17 victory over Delta State Thursday night.
The Lions (7-0, 5-0 Gulf South Conference) scored on a Jon Douglas touchdown a few minutes into the game and never gave up the lead. The Statesmen (6-1, 5-0 GSC) scored in the third quarter to narrow North Alabama’s lead to four points at 21-17 but were shut out in the fourth quarter.
Dedrick Wilson led Delta State’s rushing effort with 115 yards and one touchdown.
