ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) -Tate Forcier played for Michigan a week after getting a concussion.
Barely.
Forcier started Saturday and led the Wolverines to a touchdown on their first drive against Delaware State, then went to the sideline healthy and watched the rest of the game.
“On Tuesday, he had no lingering effects and practiced Wednesday,” Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez said after beating Delaware State 63-6. “They continued to do tests all the way through Friday.”
The freshman quarterback was listed as questionable.
Forcier pumped his fists as he ran toward the student section after the game, perhaps showing his banged-up right shoulder is OK.
“I feel great,” Forcier said.
Running back Carlos Brown didn’t play for the second straight game because of a concussion and running back Brandon Minor sat out because of a sprained ankle.
