EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -Suspended Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount met with a group of at-risk teenagers and spoke about punching a Boise State player.
The Register-Guard newspaper reports that Blount and several other players spoke Thursday at the John Serbu Youth Campus.
Blount says he won’t let the punch he threw in the aftermath of Oregon’s season opener at Boise State define him as a person.
Blount has not been allowed to speak to the media since he was suspended for the season. Ducks coach Chip Kelly has said that the senior running back could be reinstated to the team if he follows certain conditions.
The No. 13 Ducks have a bye this weekend before visiting Washington on Oct. 24.
