HAMMOND, La. (AP) -Southeastern Louisiana football coach Mike Lucas will miss the rest of the season because of a heart condition.
Lucas, in his second year with the Lions, will undergo a heart valve procedure and miss the final six games, the school said Wednesday. Offensive coordinator Tommy Condell was named acting head coach.
Southeastern (3-3, 0-1 Southland Conference) plays Northwestern State (4-2, 1-0) in a homecoming game on Saturday.
