COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -Terrelle Pryor, making one of his first non-gameday appearances before reporters in his two seasons, believes he is making progress as a quarterback and doesn’t regret wearing Michael Vick’s name in his eyeblack.
The Ohio State sophomore, the nation’s top quarterback recruit two years ago, had usually been permitted to speak with reporters only at media day or after a game. With an assistant coach sitting next to him, he spoke for 13 1/2 minutes following Wednesday’s practice.
He said he was pleased with his development during the ninth-ranked Buckeyes’ season and feels he is learning more every day.
Criticized for wearing a tribute to Michael Vick in his eyeblack for the team’s opener against Navy, Pryor apologized if he offended anyone, but added he would do it again.
