 T 22-17 in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game Saturday.
Simpson finished with 181 yards and two touchdowns for the Bears (3-3, 2-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) and kicker James Meade added three field goals.
T quarterback Shelton Morgan completed 5-of-11 passes for 151 yards, including a 96-yard touchdown pass to Michael Caldwell which gave the Aggies (0-3, 0-6) a 17-13 lead with 14:22 remaining. That score came one play after Morgan quarterback Mario Melton fumbled the ball at the Aggie 4.
Trailing 7-3, Morgan State went ahead in the second quarter on a 27-yard field goal and a 2-yard touchdown run by Simpson with 1:18 to play in the half. Eric Houston pulled the Aggies to within 13-10 with a 33-yard field goal right before halftime.
After Caldwell's touchdown pass put the Aggies ahead 17-13 Meade hit a 36-yard field goal with 5:57 to play to pull Morgan State within one, 17-16.
