CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) – The biggest concern for Clemson’s offense this preseason has become the biggest factor in the 13th-ranked Tigers 4-0 start.
First-time starter Tajh Boyd had heard all the questions about his lack of experience, his inaccurate passes and his failure to work as hard as he should his first two years. But Boyd has quickly grown into a confident quarterback in charge of Clemson’s revamped offense.
Boyd’s passed for at least 260 yards and three touchdowns in each of his four starts. The Tigers are looking to start 5-0 for the first time in 11 years.
Boyd has been impressive this year, throwing for 730 yards and seven TDs in victories over Auburn and Florida State. Boyd and the Tigers face their another challenge Saturday at No. 11 Virginia Tech.
