MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) -Junior halfback Jerrod Pendleton scored three touchdowns Saturday to lead Morehead State to a 36-21 win over St. Francis, Pa.
It was the second straight year the Eagles topped the Red Flashes behind three scores from Pendleton.
This time, he had scoring runs of 1 and 3 yards and hauled in an 11-yard pass in the victory.
Erick Fitzpatrick and Nick Feldman also found the end zone while Mason Webb added a 39-yard field goal for Morehead State (2-2). Fitzpatrick scored on a 10-yard run and Feldman on a 42-yard catch.
Eagles quarterback Evan Sawyer finished 15-of-29 for 207 yards and two TDs.
Saint Francis quarterback George Little accounted for all three scores for the Red Flashes (0-4) with an 86-yard TD to Anthony Howze, a 43-yarder to Omar Winston and a 15-yarder to Ryan Zarnich. Little went 11-of-21 for 177 yards.
Morehead State racked up 389 yards of offense and held Saint Francis to just 33 yards on the ground.
