BOISE, Idaho (AP) – While Boise State has held onto its top five ranking this season, Broncos coach Chris Petersen reiterated Monday that he is far from satisfied with how the team is playing.
Under the spotlight this week are the fourth-ranked Broncos’ woes in the running game.
Last season, Boise State averaged 200 yards per game on the ground. Through the first three games of the season, it has averaged 135 yards per game to rank 76th in the nation.
Even more frustrating for Petersen is that his team returned almost its entire starting offensive line along with a 1,000-yard rusher in senior Doug Martin.
