EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) – Michigan State should find out awfully soon what kind of season this is going to be.
After a 45-7 win over Central Michigan on Saturday, the Spartans are set to open Big Ten play, and they won’t be easing into the conference schedule. Next weekend, they play at Ohio State. Later in October, Michigan State faces Michigan, Wisconsin and Nebraska.
Le’Veon Bell ran for 81 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday against the Chippewas. The Spartans raced to a 31-0 halftime lead, but quarterback Kirk Cousins wasn’t especially sharp, going 13 of 22 for 213 yards.
