AUBURN, Ala. (AP) Auburn linebacker Tre Williams was ejected for targeting in the second quarter against No. 18 LSU on Saturday after an officials review.
There was no flag after Williams’ helmet-to-helmet hit knocked quarterback Danny Etling out of the game for a play. Etling needed assistance after the hit knocked off his helmet and left him with a bloody nose.
Etling was assisted on the field and during the delay officials announced the play was under review. The review determined Williams led with the crown of his helmet on the hit.
Williams, a junior, was second on the team with 18 tackles entering the game.
