BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) – Virginia Tech career receptions leader Jarrett Boykin will miss the No. 13 Hokies’ game at Marshall on Saturday with a hamstring injury.
The school said Thursday that Boykin was injured in practice this week, but did not disclose which leg was hurt. The Hokies hope to have Boykin back when they open their Atlantic Coast Conference schedule next weekend at home against Clemson.
Boykin has 133 career receptions and is second on the Hokies (3-0) this season with 10 receptions for 93 yards and one touchdown. He passed Ernest Wilford as the career receptions leader in the second game of the season. He has 2,216 career receiving yards and needs 57 yards to pass Ricky Scales for the school record.
