University officials are discussing whether the game between Fresno State and Colorado will be played Saturday or whether it needs to be pushed back because of flooding in Boulder, Colo.
The Buffaloes posted on their Twitter account Friday: “We are continuing to monitor the situation and will have more info available soon with regards to Saturday’s football game with Fresno St.”
The area has been hit hard by torrential showers, leading to flooding in northern Colorado, especially mountain communities around Boulder. The university has canceled classes through at least Friday.
Should the game need to be moved, it could possibly be made up at the end of the season. Fresno State opens Mountain West Conference play next week against Boise State, while the Buffs begin Pac-12 play at Oregon State.
