FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) – Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson says he “absolutely” expects to practice this week and play against Troy.
Wilson was held out during the second half of a 52-3 win over New Mexico on Saturday with what coach Bobby Petrino called concussion-like symptoms.
Wilson says he just had his “bell rung” during a touchdown run late in the first half against the Lobos, and that trainers took a precautionary approach. He ran with his teammates on Sunday and appears ready to take the field when No. 14 Arkansas (2-0) faces the Trojans.
Petrino wouldn’t say whether Wilson suffered a concussion. He did say that the junior passed a test from the team trainers before being allowed to run.
