CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) -Jacory Harris took plenty of hits, then took all the blame.
Miami viewed its trip to Ohio State as a chance to take a major step forward, and left Columbus on Saturday night knowing it wasted an opportunity. Harris threw four interceptions that led to 20 Ohio State points and the Hurricanes ended up falling 36-24 in a game that at times looked very one-sided, with their quarterback saying it was his fault.
So now Miami is back in what’s essentially become its annual conundrum – trying to keep hope alive after an important early season game ends up as just a big loss.
A year ago, it was Virginia Tech. In 2008, it was Florida. In 2007, Oklahoma.
Harris insists Miami’s psyche is fine.
