MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) -Bill Snyder has agreed to a five-year contract with Kansas State.
The 69-year-old coach is in his second stint leading the Wildcats, a program he rescued from the brink of failure. Snyder retired in November 2005 after 17 seasons, but agreed to return to the sidelines after the school fired Ron Prince last season.
The new contract was announced Friday.
Snyder will be paid a base salary and supplemental licensing payments totaling $1.85 million this season, $1.875 million in 2010-11, $1.925 million in 2011-12, $1.95 million in 2012-13, and $1.975 million in 2013-14.
Kansas State opened its season last weekend with a 21-17 victory over Massachusetts.
