TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -A pregame show of sportsmanship between rivals Miami and No. 18 Florida State went off without a hitch.
The Hurricanes and Seminoles lined up on their sidelines, walking hand-in-hand to midfield, then greeted members of each team with handshakes and hugs.
College teams have been urged by the American Football Coaches Association to have a pregame show of sportsmanship this season.
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist even took part, flanking Florida State coach Bobby Bowden for the stroll to midfield. Miami coach Randy Shannon was accompanied by university president Donna Shalala.
