DURHAM, N.H.(AP) -New Hampshire back-up quarterback Henri ``Hank'' Hendricks has been charged with murder in California and suspended from the football team. He is the fifth man charged in San Diego in the beating death of a professional surfer in May. Hendricks, charged with murder and assault and battery, is scheduled to be arraigned in California on Monday, University of New Hampshire spokeswoman Erika Mantz said in a press release Friday. Police allege that Hendricks and the four other suspects are members of a gang known as the Bird Rock Bandits. They are accused of killing Emery Kauanui Jr. on May 24. Hendricks was not arrested immediately after the beating, but gave a statement on his involvement to police a few days later. |
