LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) -McNeese State's football team, which was dismissed from campus as Hurricane Gustav approached the Louisiana coast, is set to return Wednesday and play at home Saturday as scheduled against Delta State.
Kickoff for the game remains 7 p.m., athletic director Tommy McClelland said.
Gustav passed far enough to the east on Lake Charles to spare the city major destruction and a mandatory evacuation order was rescinded Tuesday.
Head coach Matt Viator said the Cowboys would resume practice on Wednesday morning.
