AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -The Texas Longhorns say they don’t expect an easy game Saturday night in their first game against Louisiana-Monroe.
The No. 2 Longhorns know the Warhawks beat Alabama just two years ago, and they remember how Texas barely beat Arkansas State in 2007.
Even so, recent history suggests Longhorns fans will be looking for a romp. Texas was won it’s last nine season openers by an average score of 49-6.
Texas returns 15 starters from last season’s team that went 12-1 and won the Fiesta Bowl. The Warhawks went 4-8 last season and struggled in the Sun Belt Conference.
