But Cuff answered with a 2-yard run to finish a 70-yard drive on which he carried seven times for 30 yards.
Cuff began the final quarter with a 20-yard scoring play for a 35-10 lead.
Phillips sneaked over from a yard out to cut the margin to 35-17, but Cuff came back with a 19-yard pass reception for a score. He added another 2-yard touchdown after Phillips found D.J. McAulay for a 17-yard TD.
Mary combined for 42 points in the first 9:43 of the fourth quarter.
