Tommy Tuberville and the rest of the Big 12 football coaches can finally focus on games after another uncertain offseason for the league.
With Texas A&M expected to leave the Big 12, Tuberville knows there will be plenty of speculation about what is going to happen only a year after the league lost Nebraska and Colorado.
But the second-year Texas Tech coach is hopeful the season can be about the teams that are playing — and not about conference affiliation, NCAA infractions or other off-field issues.
All 10 league teams open the season this weekend.
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops understands everyone else following the outside stuff, but says his top-ranked Sooners are only looking at Saturday’s opener against Tulsa.
