TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) -Florida State running back Tavares Pressley was carted off the field Thursday after injuring his left knee during practice.
A team official said Pressley, a junior-college transfer brought in to challenge starter Antone Smith for playing time, will be re-examined Friday to determine the severity of the injury.
Florida State coach Bobby Bowden said he did not know whether Pressley will miss any significant time.
The knee injury is the latest setback for Pressley. After transferring from El Camino (Calif.) Community College, academic issues kept him sidelined for more than a week at the start of Florida State’s preseason camp.
