MADISON, Wis. (AP) – Four quarterbacks could be in play in the season opener Saturday night between two power conference programs.
No. 14 Wisconsin meets No. 13 LSU in Houston in a prime-time matchup.
The Badgers appear to have settled on dual-threat junior Tanner McEvoy as the starter, though coach Gary Andersen won’t officially name one. Andersen has said both McEvoy and last year’s starter, Joel Stave, will be ready no matter what.
Tigers coach Les Miles says he will use both sophomore Anthony Jennings and freshman Brandon Harris. Jennings backed up Zach Mettenberger last season, while Harris joined the program in January.
Both coaches say their defenses will be ready for multiple quarterbacks.
