TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) – Taylor Kelly has been met with doubt most of his life, from his days as a scrappy youth basketball player to his current role as the undisputed leader of No. 19 Arizona State.
No matter how many times he’s been marginalized or overlooked, the fifth-year senior usually finds a way to win.
Using slights about his ability as motivation, Kelly has turned himself into a proven winner and one of the best quarterbacks in college football.
Entering his final season in the desert, Kelly has dotted his name throughout Arizona State’s record book while leading the Sun Devils to consecutive bowl games.
This season, Sun Devils’ coaches have given him more freedom in Arizona State’s offense, allowing him to become an offensive coordinator of sorts on the field.
