PROVO, Utah (AP) -BYU offensive lineman Houston Reynolds has torn the ACL in his right knee.
Reynolds injured his knee during practice Friday and an MRI showed the tear. BYU was still evaluating the injury Friday and wasn’t sure whether Reynolds will need surgery or whether he could return this season.
Reynolds is the son of BYU assistant coach Lance Reynolds and younger brother of left tackle Matt, the only returning starter on the Cougars’ offensive line.
Houston Reynolds is in his first season after serving a two-year Mormon church mission and had been working with the second unit at right guard.
Fullback Manase Tonga returned to the team Friday after sitting out a year because of academics.
