STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) -Penn State’s offensive line has some familiar names in new places, plus plenty of question marks.
Stefen Wisniewski, though, figures to provide a calming influence for coach Joe Paterno’s front five.
The third-year starter has shifted from center, where he took first-team conference honors last season, back to right guard, where he was a second-teamer in 2008.
He’s also got the Penn State pedigree, as his father, Leo, played defensive line for Paterno, while an uncle, Steve, starred at guard.
The right side of this year’s line figures to be the strength of the unit to start, with Lou Eliades moving from right guard to right tackle.
Wisniewski and Eliades must help shepherd a line that will also be protecting a new starting quarterback.
