TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) – Florida State senior receiver Rashad Greene could become the most prolific receiver in school history in 2014, but there is little experience at the position behind him.
The Seminoles lost nearly 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns from the national championship team when Kelvin Benjamin and Kenny Shaw headed to the NFL. That leaves two unproven seniors and a handful of youngsters eager to fill those shoes.
Christian Green and Jarred ”Scooter” Haggins will have every opportunity to win the jobs after being in the program for a combined nine years.
Sophomore mores Jesus ”Bobo” Wilson and Levonte ”Kermit” Whitfield bring speed and quickness to the slot position.
Florida State also has a pair of five-star freshmen in Travis Rudolph and Ermon Lane with the ability to contribute immediately.
