Oklahoma State can no longer get motivation from being overlooked and underestimated.
With quarterback Brandon Weeden and Biletnikoff Award-winning receiver Justin Blackmon passing on the chance to leave for the NFL, the Cowboys are loaded this season and everyone knows it.
Instead of playing with a chip on their shoulders, the players are dealing with being in the spotlight and the possibility of the school’s first BCS appearance on the horizon.
The Cowboys said during media day Saturday that nothing should change just because the program is perceived differently after a record-breaking 11-win season and a share of the Big 12 South title. But repeating, or improving on, that success will be no easy task with road games at Texas A&M, Missouri and Texas and a home game against Oklahoma.
