BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) – Greg Studrawa says he always wanted another shot to be an offensive coordinator, although he wishes the circumstances were different.
Studrawa says it was hard at first for him to get excited about his promotion because he was worried about Steve Kragthorpe, who is relinquishing his coordinator duties after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
Studrawa says he’s become close with Kragthorpe, but is getting more comfortable taking over play-calling duties on game day because of Kragthorpe’s encouragement.
Studrawa says all the offensive assistants will have a say in the game plane, including Kragthorpe, who is staying on as quarterbacks coach.
Before joining LSU head coach Les Miles’ staff as an offensive line coach in 2007, Studrawa was the offensive coordinator at Bowling Green for four seasons.
