DALLAS (AP) – The 10 teams in the slimmed-down Big 12 Conference are talking football.
Oklahoma is expected to be loaded and Texas is in the mix as usual, though for different reasons.
The Longhorns are coming off their first losing season in 13 years under coach Mack Brown, who has new offensive and defensive coordinators. Big 12 opponents are also wondering if Texas will get a recruiting advantage after its 24-hour Longhorn Network debuts next month.
The first Big 12 team to play this season is Baylor, which hosts TCU on Friday night, Sept. 2. The full schedule begins the next day.
