 HOOVER, Ala. (AP) - Vanderbilt coach James Franklin says he hasn't left for a bigger job because he's in a too good of a situation.
The highly regarded 41-year-old's success has certainly given him the opportunity.
The charismatic Franklin said Thursday ``we believe in what we're doing'' and that the school has made a ``tremendous commitment'' to improving the football program.
It's hard to argue with the results. The Commodores - historically an also-ran in the SEC - have been to two straight bowl games and are coming off a 9-4 season.
Franklin says he can't discuss four players recently dismissed from the team for an incident last month that is being investigated by police as a possible sex crime. None of the four played last season.
