AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville underwent a successful outpatient appendectomy Wednesday in Florida.
``The surgery went well, and I'm looking forward to a speedy recovery,'' Tuberville said. ``I am glad that I was able to get the procedure done now before we get into the full swing of the football season.''
The procedure was done at Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Fla.
Tuberville begins his ninth season at Auburn on Sept. 1 against Kansas State.
