BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) – LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette says coach Les Miles plans to meet with suspended reserve offensive lineman Jevonte Domond on Thursday to discuss his recent arrest in an alleged domestic dispute.
An East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s spokeswoman says bond has been set at $3,000 for Domond, who was arrested Monday after his fiancee told authorities he picked her up by her neck, choked her nearly to the point of passing out, threw her onto a couch and bit her hip in the presence of their newborn.
Authorities, who have not released the alleged victim’s name, say the 6-foot-6, 310-pound Domond told deputies that he didn’t strangle or bite his fiancee, but was only trying to subdue her after she grabbed a knife.
Miles suspended Domond indefinitely after his arrest.
